Almost half of Brits planning home improvements in 2022

New Bathroom Bournemouth

If you have been considering making improvements to your home (perhaps you’ve already had some plans drawn up?), then you are certainly not alone this year.

As What Mortgage shared earlier this year, 47% of homeowners in the UK plan to carry out home renovations in 2022. In fact, in the South West just over half (51%) of the homeowners surveyed intend to make changes to their properties by the end of 2022.

Are you among them? Are you planning to increase the living space in your home with a stunning extension? Or perhaps you are considering using attic space for a loft conversion in Bournemouth? Whatever changes you want to make to your home, here at Bournemouth Constructions our experienced team will be able to help with every home improvement project.

We are multidisciplinary builders who are able to lend our expertise to home improvement projects ranging from home extensions and garden rooms in Westbourne and Southbourne to kitchen or bathroom fitting in Christchurch and Poole.

Our master craftsmen are on hand to ensure that, no matter what project you are planning to undertake, it is finished to the highest standards. Given that the most popular reason for carrying out home renovations was to improve the quality of the space people live in, it makes sense to only hire the best people for the job!

This is where we come in. Our team of Bournemouth-based builders and craftspeople are not only experts at what they do, but they also take great pride in giving every client the highest level of service. Don’t just take our word for it – you can read reviews from our satisfied clients.

From start to finish, we will make sure you feel as though you are well taken care of. We always carry out a survey before we provide a quote for any building work and we will be happy to discuss your requirements in detail with you to ensure we are able to give you a realistic cost estimate for the work itself, as well as for the time it will take to complete your home improvement project.

It is easy to get in touch with us online, or you can request a callback from a member of our team via our website.

There has been some good news for those wanting to carry out home improvements this year, in that loan rates on unsecured personal loans, which can be used to fund a variety of renovation projects, have fallen.

Moneyfacts revealed that interest rates on borrowing attached to small amounts of up to £3,000 has dropped to an average of 14.3% in 2022 (down from 14.6% a year earlier). This can be enough to cover the cost of some modest home improvements.

As the news provider noted, many people are choosing to make changes to their properties to gain additional living space, whether that is through loft conversions, extensions or making other internal alterations to a home.

Whatever home improvement project you are considering, get in touch with us today to find out how our team of specialist builders and expert craftsmen can help.
